Naturopathy and BioRegulatory Systems Medicine

Our bodies are not a closed one-dimensional system.

Rather, they are very busy factories that are working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They need to perform multiple functions all at the same time. In order to do this important work, all our different cells and parts need to be able to talk with each other and help each other to do their jobs. If one part is not able to do its job very well or is finding it difficult to do its work, other parts will then be affected and you may start to experience symptoms and dis-ease in your body.

Any symptom or condition that you experience is a message that there is a malfunction in your body’s factory and our work is to help you as much as possible to bring it back into as perfect working order as possible.

Our body’s have an incredible ability to re-regulate and heal if given the correct information and environment in which to work.

Naturopathy and BioRegulatory Systems Medicine uses different therapeutics to regulate and support all the many processes in times of stress and dis-ease by supporting and regulating (and not suppressing) our body’s own natural auto-regulating systems to restore the balance that our body is always striving for within itself, physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.

I work with you to support the rebalancing and correction of your “personal blueprint”, your body’s unique instruction manual.

According to your priorities, timeline and ability to make changes, we work together to shift your body from a place of dis-ease to one of better health and vitality, energy and alertness.

What does a naturopathy session involve?

Initial Consultation:

I hear what your concerns are, what your priorities are and I help you to see why you may be experiencing the symptoms and conditions you are. We discuss your diet, your lifestyle, your history and any testings that may be of benefit to you in your care.

If we believe that true and lasting health is the balance of our physical, mental and emotional selves and not just the removal of symptoms, hearing your concerns and your priorities and tying them together with your mental and emotional health is of the utmost importance to me.

Together we put into place the first steps to start to support you in your healing journey and you take away with you a health care plan that is manageable and doable.

It is a one hour consultation and we meet through TeleHealth, Zoom, FaceTime or face-to-face.

Follow-up Consultation:

We review and talk about how you have gone on your plan, what changes you have noticed, any concerns you have and what your next steps and priorities are.

We build on the work we started on from our initial appointment and together create a plan for the next step.

It is either a 30 minute or 60 minute consultation (it will depend on what we needed to do in your initial appointment) and we meet through TeleHealth, Zoom, FaceTime or face-to-face.

Acute Consultation:

This is an appointment for those times when you or a member of your family has an acute situation that you would like some advice and suggested treatment for. For example, it could be a cold, a flu, a cold sore, an ear infection, a urinary tract infection or an upset stomach.

This consultation will take up to 30 minutes and TeleHealth, Zoom, FaceTime and in-clinic appointments are all available (although you may find that it is easier for these times to chat online or on the phone).
